AOF Activities & Events

In October 1995, AOF "adopted" a two-mile stretch on Highway 99 between Elkhorn Boulevard and Elverta Road. Since then we have endeavored to keep it clean of litter and debris. Come join our civic effort, enjoy a morning commune with nature -- and who knows what you may find out there? Over the years we have recovered a number of highly unusual items.  Surprises await.

AOF will provide all safety equipment, including comfortable hard-hats and gloves, safety vests, collection bags, and handy trash pickers.  The cleanup takes about two hours. Please dress for the season.

To get to the site, travel north from Sacramento on I-5, past Arco Arena. Take the "Highway 99 - Yuba City, Marysville" exit. Exit at Elkhorn Boulevard less than a mile north.
