AOF Activities & Events
Let's start an evolution! This year, on Mayday, sister-groups in the Sacramento Coalition of Reason will congregate at the California State Capitol (West Steps) to observe the National Day of Reason, a secular holiday held in parallel with the National Day of Prayer on the first Thursday in May each year. The goal? To celebrate reason—a concept all Americans can (should) support, religious or no—and to raise public awareness of the persistent threat to religious liberty posed by government intrusion into the private sphere of conscience and worship.
It is a good cause. So let's join them. The National Day of Reason (NDOR) Sacramento will be there with information handouts, speakers discussing secular issues (including the importance of the separation of church and state), and some nice surprises.
Help educate others as to why separation of church and state matters, why it protects secular Americans and religious Americans .
